10 year anniversary

I just realized I havent been blogging in over six months!
well, I dont know where to start. Ive accomplished a lot these past couple months, but recently my husband and I just celebrated our ten years together. dont get mistaken for our wedding, we've been married for only three years. my husband asked me to be his girlfriend ten years ago on october 5, 2002, right after high school. believe it or not, he was my first and only boyfriend. what can I say? I was lucky. I found the right guy and married him.
anyways, so for our ten year anni we went to vegas, mainly b/c it was close and it saves time and money, with ny being the only breadwinner in the house. yes, I am still going to school because Im trying to get a teaching credential. oh yea, surprise! I also graduated as a geographer. I feel proud of myself because not only I am the first in my family to obtained a bachelor degree, but also one of the few asians in the geography department. ok, Im a little off topic here, like always, but here are some pictures of our little vacation.

outfit of the day!

so Im gonna start doing this more often now.

I need a new perfume. just when I thought I found my signature scent, this chanel eau tendre is starting to hurt my nose. I was never a scented person in the first place . although I have very bad nose, I cant stand scented stuff (e.g perfume, scented lotion, body spray etc.). but when I spotted this I thought this is it! it smells so light and refreshing; not too floral-y, not too musky, and not too citrus-y, it has the right amount of class and delicate scent. after all delicate is what people think of when they see me. thats ok though cus there's nothing wrong with looking delicate.

speaking of which, I just signed up for a mud run. the date is set up on April 14. yes, that means it will be coming up in about a month. Im very excited because I wanted to participate in something out of my comfort zone. I was always a lazy person. I dont like to work out, I only want to eat! this mud run will definitely kick my ass as it is consists of many obstacles.

I want to re-decorate my bathroom!!

just recently I found a theme that I really want and I cant stop thinking about it. I found this collection and I was totally in love, simply shabby chic. I was never really into the whole cottage romance theme, but this collection looks so tasteful dont ya think? I love whole etched glass and brass look for some reason so I decided to re-create my entire bathroom into this theme. now, I dont want to do the whole crazy cottage look cus for some reason it's kinda creepy. I dont like everything to look all old and white and pastel-y, I just want it to be "vintage" yet modern with personality. I will post a pic of my tiny bathroom once I get everything all set. the problem with that is it can be so expensive! this set below is from target, and when I add everything together it's over $100!! yes thats a lot to me considering I shop with coupons nowadays

a little shopping haul

so this weekend I spent some time shopping even though I really shouldnt. actually, I shopped for some of these stuff awhile back online but just received all of them this week. anyway, that makes me a lot happier since I havent really shop for the longest time. the best part though, I scored some nice discounts.

so you probably wonder why I have that purple flower vase and that plant there. well, my friend, I bought that from Ikea and total for about $5!!!

the most expensive thing there was probably the false lashes which I bought from a japanese cosmetic store. once in a while I like to indulge in my beauty routine and get dolled up, and false lashes are my favorite!

the pink box is skin79 bb cream that I got from amazon for $15, shipping included. I love this stuff. I ran out of it couple months ago and I gotta have it again. this thing is not only acts like a tinted moisturizer but it acts as a skincare product as well. I cant rave about it enough so imma stop it here

I got stila eye palette and smashbox blush/bronzer from sephora. I got these two for a pretty sweet deal; stila palette was only $14 and smashbox blush was only $7 (online only!). when I saw it I was like I dont know what Im gonna do with them, but I gotta buy it lol!

last but not least. the silver tin on the bottom.. it's just a stationary for my greeting/thank you cards. I thought the box is well made and the design is too cute to resist. if anyone knows me, they should know that I love anything geographical/map related. the box and the cards have pictures of butterflies but in atlas form. I dont know who to describe it, but it's definitely me
